CONROE, TX – Preparing for the holidays can be fun and stressful. The next Montgomery County Home & Outdoor Show THIS WEEKEND offers you both home improvement ideas and tips for planning the arrival of guests in your home. Visit the two professional home improvement exhibitors and chat one-on-one with the speakers on Saturday, August 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Lone Star Convention Center in Conroe.
The theme of the show is fall and holiday decor.
Ronda Carman, accomplished author and speaker will be the featured speaker. “Sometimes we get into a rut because we see the same thing every day and can’t visualize outside of the box,” Carman said. “I like to take everyday objects and find interesting uses for them. My hope is to inspire attendees to look at their items in a new light by finding new ways to use them when entertaining guests. Carman will show you how to elevate your table with items around the house and easy-to-prepare dishes from your pantry.
Trish Buscemi, color and lighting specialist, emphasizes the importance of lighting in setting the mood. “Be the one in control when loved ones enter your home. Change the lighting or color to keep the conversation festive and positive. I’ll show you how!”
Some of the biggest frustrations develop when organizing your time by prioritizing and simplifying tasks. Ellen DeLap, Certified Professional Organizer (CPO) specializes in Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Chronic Disorganization. Non-profit partners include Pride of America, The American Legion, Operation Pets Alive with items for your furry friends, Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County, Keep Us Fed Montgomery County – a food recovery program, Community Assistance Center (CAC ) and the Kailee Mills Foundation. Kailee Mills was killed in October 2017 at the age of 16 in a car accident. She was one of four passengers killed and the only one not wearing a seatbelt. The organization enforces seat belt safety awareness.
