Kindred and Hy-Tek Partner to Expand Retail and Ecommerce Order Fulfillment Capabilities | Business

Kinship and Hy-Tek Integrated Systems will partner to integrate Kindred’s SORT robotic systems with Hy-Tek’s material handling solutions to fully automate retail order fulfillment and e-commerce operations. The partnership will expand the automation capabilities of the distribution centers and warehouses of Hy-Tek’s apparel customers, accelerating the polybag picking and placement processes to meet growing consumer demand.

Hy-Tek’s ECOMPLETE e-commerce solution helps retailers enhance existing e-commerce platforms or enter e-commerce for the first time. A one stop shop for ecommerce components, ECOMPLETE takes sellers from click to shipping and everything in between.

Hy-Tek also provides integrated conveyor systems, welded construction conveyor installation, technical storage systems, receiving and shipping systems, robotic palletizing cells and complete turnkey solutions for any application of material handling.

“In this growing e-commerce execution environment, Hy-Tek turned to Kindred and its SORT robotic system to solve the challenges our customers faced,” said Donnie Johnson, president of Hy-Tek Integrated Systems. “Kindred provided an affordable yet flexible solution to effectively and efficiently improve its e-commerce order fulfillment operations. We are very happy to be able to add this as a solution to our service offerings. “

In response to continued spikes in online orders since the COVID-19 outbreak, Kindred’s Robotics as a Service (RaaS) model is changing the way robots are deployed. Hy-Tek’s retail and e-commerce customers pay for the SORT robot service, such as the number of items robots choose, rather than making a major capital investment. Retailers can use the RaaS model to minimize large one-time investments and better manage costs.

“Investing in robotic automation benefits both Hy-Tek and global retailers,” said Marin Tchakarov, CEO of Kindred. “By partnering with Hy-Tek to expand the order fulfillment capabilities of both parties, we are strengthening our contribution to the workforce of the future with unmatched, field-proven technology.

Kindred SORT pick and place robots use CORE with AutoGrasp â„¢, an artificial intelligence robotic platform that identifies items for picking, placing and sorting in complete end customer orders.
